Tim Tebow got the first home run of his Triple-A career Sunday.

Tebow, who currently plays for the Syracuse team in the Mets organization, homered in an 8-2 loss to the Columbus Clippers. He may not have won, but he still sent the ball into the stratosphere.

Watch the first home run of his Triple-A playing days below:

Tebow absolutely also needed the help at the plate because he’s currently batting .157, according to ESPN. That’s not the kind of percentage you’re going to need if he ever plans on making the real Mets.

You also have to love the reaction from his teammates. They just sat there pretending like nothing had happened, they showed now emotion, completely ignored him and then finally cut loose to congratulate him on the massive homer.

That’s just a classic baseball move.

I have no idea if Tebow will make the show at some point. It’s not looking great right now, but at least he’s got his first home run under his belt.

Maybe this will be the spark he needs to get his Triple-A career going and doing a lot better than hitting .157.
