Meghan Markle is reportedly “not popular” among Prince Harry’s inner circle of friends because they reportedly feel that she’s “running the show.”

“I think she’s not popular in a lot of circles often because they adore [Prince] Harry and they seem to think that she’s running the show,” royal biographer Angela Levin shared for Gayle King’s CBS documentary “Meghan and Harry Plus One,” per Cosmopolitan Wednesday. Levin explained that the royal’s friends are still “low-key threatened” by the former “Suits” actress and “her views.” (RELATED: Duchess Meghan Markle Reportedly Plans To Raise Royal Baby Gender Neutral)

“Whether it is saying she is difficult or demanding, there is a subtext there that reads very much into this angry black woman stereotype, that leads into a domineering woman stereotype and that doesn’t just allow her to be a human being who has agency and who wants to do the best that she can,” Maiysha Kai, Managing Editor of The Glow Up, added. The Duchess of Sussex reportedly “did not request or give permission” for her friends to participate in the CBS special, per the Insider.

“The Duchess has not had any involvement in the CBS special, nor has she requested or given permission to friends to participate,” a spokesperson for Buckingham Palace shared.

It all comes just weeks after the duke and duchess welcomed their first child, Archie Harrison, on May 6. He weighed in at 7 lbs and 3 oz.

As previously reported, the new royal parents are adjusting to life as parents of a newborn and are feeling grateful for everything.

“Like any father, he [Prince Harry] lights up when he speaks about his son and how proud he is of his wife,” close friend and former Invictus Games competitor J.J. Chalmers shared. “I can see the buzzing smile on his face still.”
