UFC fighter Alex Oliveira is facing allegations of domestic violence from his ex-wife.

Oliveira has been accused of punching his ex-wife and pulling her hair Saturday in Brazil, according to MMA Junkie Sunday. He’s also accused of driving away while “seemingly intoxicated” on a motorcycle with his child.

It was reported that he would meet with police in Brazil Monday, but it’s unclear whether that has meeting occurred. Oliveira’s manager also told ESPN the report is “inaccurate” and that he never punched his ex-wife.

I don’t know much about the criminal justice down in Brazil, but this still isn’t a good look for the UFC and president Dana White.

The last thing the league wants to be dealing with is a fighter being accused of striking a woman and then driving around intoxicated with a kid.

Oliveira maintains his innocence through his manager, and in America he’d get the presumption of innocence until proven otherwise.

Not sure if that’s the standard down in South America, but let’s hope the police can get to the bottom of what happened.

Again, the UFC and White certainly won’t want to be associated with Oliveira if the allegations are true.
