Athlon thinks the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Michigan Wolverines will play in the Big 10 title game.

The popular sports publication released its predictions for the conference, and they were interesting to say the least. They’ve got a 12-1 Michigan winning the conference title over a 9-4 Nebraska, Ohio State goes 11-1 and Wisconsin finishes out 8-4. For as much as I disagree with the numbers, they’re remarkably better than the ones we saw from 247Sports.

Why does Nebraska have all this hype? Why? Nine wins? A Big 10 title appearance? I’m just not seeing it. I’m just not seeing it at all.

How many times do I need to bring this up? Until Scott Frost and the Cornhuskers win something, it’s all talk and pointless hype.

Nebraska fans will get all spun up and excited, and they’ll likely do nothing. They won four games last year! Four games!

As for Wisconsin, we’re winning more than eight games. I’ve got us pegged at 10 wins right now in my first prediction of the season. (RELATED: Will Jack Coan Or Graham Mertz Start At Quarterback For The Wisconsin Badgers?)

Obviously, as more time goes by and we learn more, I’ll adapt accordingly.

It’s going to be a lot of fun watching Ohio State and Michigan battle it out for the east division. Similar to Nebraska, I’m not buying that Jim Harbaugh is going to win his side of the conference until he does it.

OSU has Justin Fields and they’re going to be ready to ball out when the season rolls around.

The season is going to be a glorious one, and I can’t wait for it to get started. We’re in for a very fun 2019.
