R. Kelly reportedly went to a judge to keep his ex-wife, Drea Kelly, from disclosing information about their “private lives” while married.

According to documents obtained by TMZ which were revealed in a piece published Tuesday, the 52-year-old singer’s legal team filed paperwork that alleged his ex-wife, had breached a “marital settlement agreement” signed in Jan. 2009. In the document, R. Kelly’s wife allegedly agreed to remain silent about the time they were married. (RELATED: Fans Don’t React To R. According to the outlet:

In docs, Kelly’s team says he wants a judge to order her to not speak about anything related to their marriage. Kelly says they agreed neither would divulge ‘any account of their private lives, business activities, relationship with each other, marriage or circumstances surrounding the dissolution.’

The “Bump n’ Grind” hitmaker’s attorney, Steven Greenberg, told the publication that Drea’s interview last month on “TMZ Live” was one of the reasons for doing so. (RELATED: Superstar Rapper Says He Failed Alleged R. Kelly Survivors: ‘We Failed Our Communities As Black People’)

At the time, Kelly’s ex talked about the “child support” he allegedly owed her and that if he didn’t come up with the money, “he should look into a job at Del Taco.”

“[R.] Kelly has not made one disparaging remark about Drea publicly — and there’s plenty he could say,” Greenberg explained.

“Drea has two strands of income — child support from R. Kelly and blasting R. Kelly publicly,” he added.

Per the documents, Greenberg also alleged that Drea broke their agreement when she appeared on the reality TV show “Growing Up Hip Hop” and talked about their marriage.

According to Kelly’s team, the back child support he owed his ex has all been paid to her.
