It is the time of year where families all around the country pull out their red, white and blue to celebrate our country and the day we declared our independence from Great Britain.
Our founding fathers sent out a letter to King George III on July 4, 1776 declaring us a free and independent nation. Ever since, we have set aside the day to celebrate this freedom and great country we have built.
In our 243 years as an independent country, we have been through a lot. We have gone through a civil war, two World Wars, the Great Depression, and so much more. We have not always been perfect, but we have always made it through. The Fourth of July is a day to celebrate the perfections and imperfections of our country and honor the freedom we have here.
