HBO host John Oliver mocked First Lady Melania Trump calling her “icy” and “distant,” during a monologue Sunday night.

The “Last Week Tonight” anchor was riffing about President Trump reportedly expressing interest in buying Greenland when he took a cheap shot at the first lady.

“Yeah, of course he f*cking did. Of course he did,” Oliver said. “Greenland is icy, distant, and semi-autonomous. It’s exactly Trump’s type,” he said as a photo of President Trump and Melania flashed on screen.

Melania Trump has repeatedly faced attacks and smears from members of the media and Hollywood. (RELATED: Melania Trump Wants To Use Her Power To Help America’s Children)

Last year, she was targeted by comedian Kathy Griffin over immigrant children being separated from their families at the border.

After the first lady released a statement saying that she hates to see children separated from their parents, Griffin responded, “F*ck you, Melanie. You know damn well your husband can end this immediately…you feckless complicit piece of sh*t.”

In 2018, Melania announced her “BE BEST” campaign, which focuses on helping the youth and speaking out against bullying. (WATCH: Trump Signs Melania Trump’s Anti-Bullying Initiative)

At an event announcing the initiative alongside the president, she said she wanted to encourage positive mental health for children.

“There are too many critical issues facing children today so the three main pillars of BE BEST will include well-being, social media use, and opioid abuse, we can and should teach children the important of social and self-awareness, positive relationship skills, and responsible decision making.”
