Prince William reportedly urged younger brother Harry to not “rush” things in his relationship with Meghan Markle, according to royal experts.
“The biggest cause of their so-called rift was Wills tried to warn Harry when he met Meghan not to rush into it,” journalist Carole Malone explained in the UK documentary “William & Harry: Princes at War,” per US Weekly in a piece published Sunday. “He’d [Harry] only known her for less than a year when they got engaged,” Malone added. “He sat him down and just told him to take it a bit slow, not to run at it.”
Another expert said, William’s wife, Kate Middleton, “didn’t have a moment to get to know Meghan” before the pair got engaged in 2017, because “Harry hardly knew Meghan.”
“And of course, quite naturally William and Kate would have thought, ‘Oh, she’s been married before, she’s older than Harry, I hope she’s going to make him happy.’ Anyone would think that,” Ingrid Seward of Majesty magazine explained.
This advice reportedly lead the now-Duke of Sussex to become “ballistic.”
“I was told by a number of sources that he went ballistic,” Emily Andrews, with The Sun, previously shared of Harry. “He said, ‘You’re trying to wreck this relationship before it’s even started.'”

It comes after Meghan and Harry tied the knot in a gorgeous wedding ceremony in May 2018 and this last May the two welcomed the arrival of their first child, a little boy, Archie Harrison.
As previously reported, rumors were rampant over the last year or so that there was tension between the royal couples. First, it was alleged that the rift was between the Duchess of Sussex and Duchess of Cambridge. But later, news surfaced that the real split in the family was between William and Harry.
