Fans of “Star Wars” didn’t have to wait long at all for the highly-anticipated footage of Rey to hit the web.

It had already been reported that there was footage from “The Rise of Skywalker” shown of Rey with a double lightsaber and in a black hood, which would seem to signify her turn to the dark side. However, the footage from D23 hadn’t been shown to the public yet. (RELATED: Watch The Trailer For The ‘Star Wars‘ Series ‘The Mandalorian’ On Disney+)

Well, that all changed Monday when the film’s YouTube page released the footage. Give it a look below.

Yeah, I think it’s safe to say they want fans to absolutely believe Rey is going to go bad. I’m not sure that could be much more obvious.

The footage of Kylo and Rey in a saber duel on the downed ship in the water was also incredibly badass. I don’t care what you think about the latest films.

You’re simply lying to yourself if you don’t admit the video above was pretty awesome. It has me juiced enough to run through a concrete barrier right now.

Hopefully, more and more footage from “Rise of Skywalker” gets released as we near the December 20 release date.

From what we’ve seen so far, it looks damn good.

As I’ve said before, the end of the saga should be something glorious to behold, and I can’t wait to see it. The journey has spanned over several decades and generations.

Now, on December 20, we’ll get our ending. Let’s hope like hell it lives up to all the insanely high expectations of fans.
