UCF is more likely right now to make the college football playoff than any team in the PAC-12.

According to ESPN’s playoff predictions, UCF has a nine percent chance of making the playoff after smashing Stanford this past weekend. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

The PAC-12 team with the best odds? Oregon at eight percent.

It’s about time UCF starts getting a little respect. If the Knights go undefeated, they’ll have wins over Stanford, Cincy, Temple and Houston.

That’s certainly not the greatest slate of games compared to other Power Five teams, but it’s still impressive. Let’s remember that they didn’t just beat Stanford.

They rolled up on David Shaw’s team and massacred them.

The reality of the situation here is that the PAC-12 is also just not that good this year when it comes to having one or two great teams.

They’ve got several solid teams, but no team that really jumps off the page. Plus, Oregon already has a loss and USC already has a loss thanks to BYU this past weekend.

It’s just not looking great for the conference.

However, you know who could be the savior for the PAC-12? A man by the name of Mike Leach, who is currently leading the undefeated Washington State Cougars.

He’s not the hero the PAC-12 deserves, but he is the one they might need.

Sound off in the comments with whether or not you think a PAC-12 team will make the playoff or if UCF will. Things should be fun down the stretch!
