“Joker” made an unreal amount of cash at the box office over its debut weekend.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film made $93.5 million domestically and had worldwide earnings of $234 million. (RELATED: Watch Joaquin Phoenix In The First Trailer For ‘Joker‘)

It’s officially the largest opening for an October film in the history of cinema.

I love this. I absolutely love the fact “Joker” is doing so well. Everybody, and I mean everybody, I know that has seen it has absolutely loved it.

Early projections at the box office number around the $80 million mark. Clearly, it had no problem hitting that mark and then some.

I’m guessing all the hype around it and word of mouth played a large role.

There also wasn’t a single issue that I saw on the news or read about. After all the nonsensical hype about violence and the movie, American moviegoers didn’t have any problems at all.

I think everybody with a brain knew there wouldn’t be problems with “Joker,” but you just never know.
