The Minnesota Vikings have reportedly slapped a big fine on receiver Stefon Diggs.

According to ESPN on Sunday, the NFL star has been fined $200,000 after missing practices and meetings last week. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

The move comes after apparent issues between the team and one of their best players.

Diggs did play Sunday for the Vikings, and it seems like things might be trending in a positive direction. That’s a good thing because I’m not sure he wants to keep getting hit with huge fines.

Imagine making the decision to skip practice, despite the fact it’ll cost you more money than the average American makes in a couple years.

I don’t care how much money you make. Choosing to lose that much cash over missed meetings is simply absurd.

Diggs is currently on a deal that is potentially worth $72 million. Again, that’s a ton of cash, but I still don’t care.

It’s not enough money to ever justify losing $200,000 because you didn’t want to practice or attend team meetings.

The Vikings made the right decision here. You just can’t let a player think they can run the show and get away it. You’re asking for a world of trouble if you do.

Hopefully, Diggs has learned his lesson with the Vikings. If not, he’s going to find himself missing some more money from his checking account.
