Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has taken complete control of the Heisman odds.
The Crimson Tide superstar is now sitting pretty at -160, according to odds at the Westgate in Vegas on Monday. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)
The next closest guys are Jalen Hurts and Joe Burrow at +350. That represents a very substantial gap.
Updated Heisman odds (Westgate):
Tagovailoa -160
Hurts/Burrow +350
Fields +1400
Taylor +2000
Lawrence +3000
Ehlinger +4000
Hubbard/Jeudy +8000
Herbert/Fromm/Dobbins/Etienne/Swift +10000— Odds Shark (@OddsShark) October 7, 2019
Tua is really starting to pull away. At this point, at least from the view of the oddsmakers, he’s almost certainly going to win the award.
It’d take falling apart in epic fashion or one of the other top players doing something insane in order for the junior quarterback to not walk away with the trophy.

It’s been wild to watch Trevor Lawrence just plummet down the board. The Clemson Tigers are still undefeated, but he’s not even close to being in the race anymore.
Many people, myself included, thought there was a really good chance he’d win the award. Instead, he’s fallen into complete obscurity despite not losing a game.
It’s been wild to watch unfold.

Finally, what did Jonathan Taylor do to these oddsmakers that he gets absolutely no love? +2000? That’s a cruel joke.
He just dropped five touchdowns on Kent State this weekend, and did it without playing a whole lot. He has 16 touchdowns and more than 800 yards of offense through five games.
The man is out there putting up video games stats. It’s absolutely shameful.

We’ll have to see what happens down the stretch, but Tua certainly seems to be in great position as of today.
