The Clemson Tigers are now alone at the top of the latest national title odds.

According to odds from BetOnline_ag, Clemson is currently at +275. They’re followed by Alabama at +300, LSU and Ohio State are at +450, Oklahoma +550, Georgia is at +1000 and Wisconsin has plummeted to +4000. Now, I might be reading into this a bit too much, but the fact Clemson has taken the top spot by themselves makes me think oddsmakers don’t think Tua Tagovailoa is going to be 100% for the LSU game.

If they thought he was going to be healthy, then wouldn’t the Crimson Tide and the Tigers likely be tied at the top?

Again, I could be reading into this too much, but this has me thinking oddsmakers believe LSU will be facing an injured Tua, which would make that an extremely tough game.

I also still don’t understand how Ohio State isn’t higher on the board. They’re just rolling through the teams they play against. It’s not even close.

The Buckeyes are out here just annihilating team after team. Outside of Penn State and maybe Wisconsin, there’s nobody in the B1G who can hang with them.

That means they’re going to likely end up in the playoff, which is half the battle.

As for my beloved Badgers, I understand dropping to +4000, especially with OSU on the horizon. However, we’re still a playoff team if we win out.

Now, will we win out? Who knows. We just lost to Illinois. I’d say it’s a pretty chaotic situation, but I’m not ruling anything out.
