Fox News commentator Judge Andrew Napolitano said Tuesday that President Donald Trump’s conduct toward Ukraine is “clearly impeachable,” if a quid pro quo occurred, adding that Trump requested something “criminal” if it occurred.

“Some go so far to say, even if there was such an arrangement, a quid pro quo, it’s not impeachable,” Fox’s Neil Cavuto said.

“Oh, it’s clearly impeachable, because the president requested something that’s criminal to ask for. ‘Can you help my campaign?'”

“But he didn’t say it,” Cavuto responded.

“No, no, of course he didn’t say it that way. But he basically said, I need a favor. And my people, Rudy Giuliani and company, are telling you that aid’s not coming until they get the favor,” Napolitano said.

Napolitano has been a longtime voice on Fox News and a strong critic of many Democrats. However, he has also occasionally criticized Trump, leading the president to lash out at him in April, calling him “very hostile.”

Impeachment talk is enveloping Washington this week as the House impeachment hearings are set to begin Wednesday. (RELATED: House Republicans Release 18-Page Memo Featuring Their Case Against Impeachment)

As the Daily Caller has reported, many Republican Senators do not rule out voting to remove Trump from office in an impeachment trial.
