Conor McGregor is officially back in the UFC.

Dana White told ESPN’s Brett Okamoto that the Irish-born superstar would fight Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone on January 18 in Las Vegas. (SLIDESHOW: These UFC Women Really Hate Wearing Clothes)

It’s on, folks. Conor McGregor is officially back. After what will be more than a year out of the octagon, McGregor finally has an opponent. (SLIDESHOW: These Are The Greatest Ronda Rousey Photos On The Internet)

If you’re not ready to run through a wall right now, then you’re not a real UFC fan. It’s that simple. The sport is at its best when McGregor is fighting. (SLIDESHOW: These Are The Sexiest Paige VanZant Photos On The Internet)

We wanted him back, and that’ll happen January 18 in Las Vegas.

While I like Cerrone, I hope McGregor crushes him. Again, I really like Cowboy. The man is a respectable dude, he fights like hell, and he’s an all-class guy.

However, we like McGregor back at the top. We need him crushing souls, trash talking, and everything that comes with that territory.

Go, Conor, go!
