Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew is looking to cash in on all the hype surrounding him.

According to Josh Gerben, the rookie sensation filed trademark applications for “Minshew Magic,” “Mississippi Mustache” and “Minshew Mania.” (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

This is just a smart business move for Minshew. He’s taken the league by storm, he’s got a gigantic following and you have to make your money while you can in the NFL.

The league isn’t exactly known for having guys with super long careers. He’d be foolish to not try to get paid.

Plus, who the hell doesn’t want to rep some gear with the words “Mississippi Mustache” on them. I’d wear that in a heartbeat.

The fact Minshew continues to move the needle is just proof he’s probably going to be around for awhile. It’s also a sign people appreciate authenticity.

There are plenty of people in pro sports who try to play a character, and it’s cringeworthy to watch. Minshew isn’t like that.

He’s the real deal, and that’s why Minshew Mania is one of the biggest storylines in the league.

I can’t wait to see what Minshew does next. I’m sure it’ll be entertaining.
