Urban Meyer attended the Redskins/Eagles game Sunday.

According to JP Finlay, the legendary Ohio State coach was in attendance amid speculation he’ll return to coaching next season. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Redskins starting quarterback Dwayne Haskins played for him last season at OSU.

Meyer might return to coaching next season. He might not. I honestly don’t know what he’ll do, but I find it hard to believe he wants to coach the Redskins.

The Redskins are a joke of an organization, and Dan Snyder is one of the worst owners in all of pro sports.

Why would Meyer want to get tangled up in that?

I find it much more likely he comes out of retirement to coach the Dallas Cowboys than the Redskins. Yes, Haskins and him have a special connection, but it’s just not enough in my mind.

Jerry Jones has better infrastructure, a better roster and he can write any check that’s necessary to get Meyer signed up.

Here’s the other thing I can promise all of you going forward over the next few weeks: Meyer’s name is going to be thrown around nonstop for coaching gigs.

With every opening that comes about, you can bet on Meyer being brought up. He’s the best guy available, he seems interested in coaching again and that’ll have his phone ringing.

I’m just not sure he wants to do it with the Redskins.
