The New England Patriots pulled off a classy move for the Navy football team prior to their bowl game.

According to ESPN, the Patriots loaned the Navy Midshipmen their plane last week to fly down to Memphis for the AutoZone Liberty Bowl against Kansas State. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

It’s worth nothing Bill Belichick’s dad used to coach at Navy.

Thank you @patriots and Team 125 for sending us to the @autozonelibertybowl the right way! #NavyFB | #BuiltDifferent

This is a really neat move from the Patriots. I’m not really sure how it’s allowed with the NCAA, but that doesn’t matter.

Anytime you have the opportunity to help a service academy and our military, you take it. Add in the fact Belichick has a personal connection to Annapolis, and it’s not hard to see how this all came together.

At the same time, if you’re going to be associated with the Patriots, you damn sure better win. You can’t take the Patriots’ plane to a game and then lose.

They’ve won six Super Bowls. Winning and the Patriots go hand-in-hand. If you’re going to use their plane, you have to win.

These are the rules. I didn’t make them up, but we must abide by them.

Luckily for the Midshipmen, the Wildcats are a very beatable team. I expect it to be a great game when they meet Tuesday.

Either way, very class move from Bob Kraft and the Patriots. You love to see it!
