People seem very confident LSU will beat Clemson in the national title game.

According to David Purdum, 93% of money being bet at William Hill has been placed on Ed Orgeron and the LSU Tigers to beat Clemson. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

As I’ve said many times before, this just doesn’t make a ton of sense to me. How are people this confident LSU will win?

Don’t get me wrong. Joe Burrow and company can get the job done, but people are acting like it’s a guarantee.

I can promise you that it’s absolutely not a guarantee at all. Trevor Lawrence is the best NFL prospect in America, Dabo Swinney is a top-two coach in America and Clemson is loaded with pro talent.

Anybody who thinks LSU will roll Clemson has no idea what the hell they’re talking about. LSU could win for sure, but it’ll be a dogfight.

It really does seem like people might be buying into the hype a shade too much, and forgetting that Clemson is the defending national champ.
