Joe Burrow might have thrown a little shade at the Cincinnati Bengals ahead of the NFL draft.

The LSU Heisman winner is expected to go to Cincinnati with the first pick of the draft. In fact, I’m not sure there’s anybody out there who thinks he won’t go first overall. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Having said that, Burrow might not be too interested in the Bengals. During an interview with Dan Patrick, Burrow said, “You want to go number one, but you also want to go to a great organization that is committed to winning. Committed to winning Super Bowls.”

Read into this as much as you want, but it seems like a pretty clear jab at the Bengals. At the very least, you can’t love hearing that if you’re a fan of Cincy.

You can’t love hearing it at all. The last thing the Bengals want to hear is the top pick in the draft talking about how he wants to go to a place committed to winning.

Here’s also the reality of the situation. The Bengals are going to take Burrow no matter what he says or does.

Short of threatening to sit out, which he won’t do, Burrow will be playing for the Bengals in 2020. That’s just the way it is.

Trust me, Burrow will be on the Bengals short of a disaster or something major coming out.
