Ryan Fitzpatrick will play in the NFL next season.

Reporter Ian Rapoport said he spoke to the Miami Dolphins quarterback about the future, and Fitzpatrick made it clear he isn’t going anywhere. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

The Dolphins reportedly have interest in bringing him back.

This would actually be a great plan for the Dolphins if they decide to keep Fitzpatrick. They can draft Tua Tagovailoa, let him sit on the bench for a year as he gets healthy and then he can take over down the road.

It almost makes too much sense. Fitzpatrick is one of the smartest guys in all of pro sports. There aren’t too many better mentors out there.

He’s as stable as a concrete pillar, and the Dolphins need all the stability they can get. They should 100% bring back Fitzpatrick for another season.

Tua might not be ready to play immediately anyways due to his hip. So, let him ride the pine behind Fitzpatrick for a season and learn as much as he can.

Then, when it’s time, Tua can take over. As a gambling man, I 100% expect this to happen.
