Wisconsin Badgers football coach Paul Chryst has received a contract extension.

According to Brett McMurphy, Chryst’s contract has been extended through the end of January 2025. That means the man running the Badgers won’t be going anywhere anytime soon. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Salary details aren’t known at this time.

This is obviously a very smart choice for the Badgers. Chryst is one of the best coaches in America, and is 52-16 leading the Badgers.

Outside of one bad 8-5 season, Chryst has won double-digit games every single year with Wisconsin. He’s one of the best coaches in the sport, and we should do everything necessary to keep him.

There’s no question at all that he has the football team headed in the right direction, and there’s a ton of optimism surrounding the program.

Yes, we lost to Illinois this past season, but when you look at the totality of what Chryst has done in Madison, there’s no doubt he’s excelling with the Badgers.

I hope he’s around for a very long time, and I think he will be. When you find a coach like Paul Chryst, you lock him up for as long as possible.

Now, let’s get to work for 2020. There are lots of great things on the horizon!
