The top six Democratic primary candidates all beat President Donald Trump in a head-to-head election, a new poll shows.
The poll, conducted by Qunnipiac University, found that Independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders is currently leading the primary pack, earning 25 percent of the vote. Sanders is followed by former Vice President Joe Biden, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg, and Democratic Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar, who earned 17, 15, 14, 10, and 4 percent of the vote respectively.

All other candidates received less than 2 percent support.
Though he currently sits in third place in the new poll, Qunnipiac found that Bloomberg holds the greatest advantage over Trump in the general election, beating the president by 9 points head-to-head. Sanders also bests Trump by 8 points, while Biden and Klobuchar hold 7 and 6 point advantages over POTUS. Both Warren and Buttigieg lead Trump by 4 points.

Still, Trump’s favorability rating has not changed since mid-December and is his highest favorability rating in Quinnipiac’s poll since March of 2017, and only Klobuchar and Buttigieg hold net favorability ratings. (RELATED: President Trump’s Approval Ratings Hit All-Time High)

Perhaps the most stunning finding in the poll involves Biden’s support, which has plummeted by more than 20 percent since last year. In April of 2019, just prior to announcing his candidacy, he was leading the field with 38 percent support.

His support among black voters also dropped dramatically over the past week. Biden carried 52 percent of the black vote in January, and that figure dropped to 27 percent in Monday’s poll.
