The Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots might both try to make a move on Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota.

According to Pro Football Network, the Colts and Patriots are both believed to be interested in pursuing the former Oregon superstar and Heisman winner if he hits the market. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Mariota was benched this season in favor of Ryan Tannehill, who eventually led the Titans to the AFC championship game.

Both of these teams would be great options for Mariota. Even if Brady returns to the Patriots, he could sit for a year or two behind the six-time Super Bowl champion and learn.

Mariota is a hell of an athlete. He’s one of the better athletes at the quarterback position that we’ve seen in the past decade.

He just really seemed stuck in a rut this past season, and it resulted in him getting benched. Having said that, there’s a reason he was the number two pick in the draft when he entered the league.

Mariota can absolutely play football at a high level. He just needs to tune up his skills. Playing for the Patriots and learning from Bill Belichick could absolutely get that done.

Whether Brady returns or not, New England should 100% make a run at him.
