Government leaders in Florida think Florida State has a claim to the college basketball national title.
According to Tim Reynolds, the state Senate voted late Friday night to declare the Seminoles national champs after the tournament was canceled because of coronavirus. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)
If you missed it overnight, the Florida Senate declared Florida State the 2020 NCAA men’s basketball national champions.

Yeah, let me go ahead and stop you right there. The national champions can’t be FSU because I already declared Wisconsin national champs.
I didn’t just say it. I declared it.
I crowned Wisconsin national champs after they won the B1G, which was by far and away the toughest conference in America.
No disrespect to FSU, but they’re kidding themselves if they think winning the ACC is more impressive than winning the B1G.

Sure, you have Duke to play against, but it doesn’t match the Big 10.
The Big 10 has zero easy games. Absolutely none, and Wisconsin still cruised.
Given the fact the tournament was canceled, we have to go off of regular season performance. Wisconsin won the toughest conference in America.

This isn’t even a tough call. FSU had a good season, and should be applauded. Still, there’s only one national champ and it’s the Badgers.
