The NCAA has released the latest college football preseason rankings, and Clemson is number one.
In the latest rankings, Clemson, Ohio State and Alabama secured the top three spots, which is what you’d expect. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)
Clemson should 100% be viewed as the preseason favorite heading into the season. They have Trevor Lawrence and arguably the best coach in America in Dabo Swinney.
It’s hard to argue that the Tigers shouldn’t be the early favorite given how loaded they are and have the best quarterback in America.

Ohio State coming in at second also seems about right for the Buckeyes. Justin Fields is probably the second best gunslinger in America after Lawrence.
As long as he’s under center for the Buckeyes, then Ryan Day’s squad is going to be incredibly tough to beat.

As for the Wisconsin Badgers, we slid in at 16. Seems a bit low. In fact, it’s almost a disrespectful number, but I’m not complaining.
Wisconsin always does our best work when we’re overlooked. Once again, it looks like that’ll be the case in the 2020 season.
