A new video has surfaced of Wisconsin Badgers basketball players embracing head coach Greg Gard after winning the conference.
In a video tweeted Saturday by Zach Heilprin, players can be seen on the sideline hugging and celebrating with Gard after beating Indiana. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Never saw this before. Pretty sure it wasn’t on the original broadcast.

Does that look like a coach who doesn’t have the support of his players and control of the locker room? That looks like a guy who is loved by his players.
There were so many problems with the Badgers this season, and the program appeared to be on the brink when Kobe King transferred out.

There was speculation flying everywhere that Gard had lost the locker room, which is usually the nail in the coffin of a coach’s career.
However, Gard kept grinding and led the Badgers to a B1G regular season title and the top seed in the conference tournament.

I think it’s obvious that reports of his demise were premature. Those young men were so excited to win with him.
I really hope we can stop talking about whether or not Gard can coach. He took a roster full of afterthoughts and won the toughest conference in America, which is why I didn’t hesitate to declare Wisconsin national champs.

Gard is the man I want leading this team and it’s clear the men playing for him feel the same. Now, let’s get to work for next season.
