PAC-12 athletic departments won’t be able to get back to business as usual anytime soon.

According to Brett McMurphy, the conference banned all athletic activities through May 31 amid the coronavirus crisis. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

They’re just the latest conference to push off a return to organized activities. The Big 10 is also pushed back into May.

I don’t want to be the guy who brings you all a bunch of bad news, but this is just the latest sign the football season is in serious trouble.

If the PAC-12 can’t return to business as normal until June, then we’re just a month out from the start conditioning and stuff for football.

That means we’re one step closer to getting to July without a resolution, and at that point, you can guarantee all best are off.

Again, I sincerely hope I’m wrong, but I get paid to call balls and strikes. As I see it right now, not opening up the fields until June at the earliest is a really bad sign.
