Vice President Mike Pence will reportedly speak with college football power players Wednesday about the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

The fate of the college football season hangs in the balance, and nobody has any idea if the games will happen as scheduled because of the virus. It sounds like the vice president is going to see what he can do to help.

According to CNN’s Kaitlan Collins (a notable fan of Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide), Pence will speak with the College Football Playoff Management Committee at some point Wednesday. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Below is a live look at Mike Pence getting involved in the effort to save college football.

This is about a lot more than just whether or not the games happen in the fall. This about saving the soul of a nation during a national crisis.

America’s soul runs on football. It brings people together, it’s a shining example of American excellence and we need the sports in our lives.

All I want to hear from this Pence phone call is that the federal government is vowing any and all necessary resources to make sure the season happens.

I don’t want to hear any other outcome. I just want him to get on the phone with the playoff committee, and I want Pence to tell them POTUS and the feds will do whatever is necessary to make sure there’s football on Saturdays in the fall.

Hopefully, this is a step in the right direction. We need football like we need air in our lungs, and I hope like hell Mike Pence is about to deliver some good news.
