NFL insider Peter King thinks the New England Patriots will move up to draft Tua Tagovailoa.

In King’s massive mock draft released Monday morning, he has the Pats trading up to the 13th slot and grabbing the former Alabama star. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

The Pats do need a quarterback after Tom Brady left the franchise, and Tua’s name has long been floated as an option.

If Tua starts sliding fast, the Patriots could move up without selling the farm in order to get the former Alabama gunslinger.

The Patriots need a long term answer at quarterback, Tua has more than enough talent to be a solid pro, his work ethic is excellent and Bill Belichick could help mold him into a star.

It all depends on how much the Patriots would have to give up in order to draft him. If they want to get into the top five, they’re going to have to give up a ton.

However, if Tua starts dropping fast in the draft, which seems like a real possibility at this point, then all bets are off.

The Pats could pull the trigger on trading up without having to pay a premium. It almost makes too much sense.
