CNN host Chris Cuomo’s son has been diagnosed with coronavirus after the anchor and his wife both tested positive for the virus.
Cuomo‘s wife Cristina Greeven Cuomo confirmed Mario’s diagnosis in an Instagram post shared on Earth Day.
“This virus has created a different version of me. My hope is to be stronger, healthier, smarter about the virus at large,” Cristina captioned a series of photos of her family. “After 10 days of ups and downs, feeling good one-day and terrible the next, I am now working hard to get my son, Mario, through the virus.”
“My heart hurts more than my head over his infection,” she continued. “This virus does not discriminate. While kids are more resilient, they can suffer [the] same severity of symptoms.”
Cristina is taking care of Mario by “applying a modified version of [her] remedies for his protocol” along with feeding him “lots of vitamins.” (RELATED: ‘Beating Me Like A Pinata’: Chris Cuomo Says Chills From Coronavirus Fever Left Him With A Chipped Tooth)
“Since his sense of smell and taste have disappeared, I am feeding him healthy foods that I normally can’t get him to touch,” Cristina revealed.
Chris first announced his coronavirus diagnosis in March. Meanwhile, Cristina was diagnosed roughly two weeks later.
Chris recently reunited with his family after self-isolating for weeks.
