Most of Colorado businesses are allowed to reopen for curbside delivery and real estate showings have been green lighted to resume Monday in the state’s shift to a “safer at home” order that eases coronavirus restrictions.
Democratic Colorado Gov. Jared Polis announced the “safer at home” executive order Sunday, which outlines the state’s gradual reopening phase of many businesses, the Denver Channel reported.
Retail businesses are now permitted to open for curbside delivery and real estate showing can resume Monday. Polis also issued an executive order allowing certain elective medical, dental, and veterinary procedures to resume if medical facilities follow sanitation and safety protocol.

All people who are 65, have underlying health conditions like asthma or chronic lung disease, are pregnant, or are immunocompromised are advised to stay home unless absolutely necessary, according to the Denver Channel.
Metro Denver counties have extended their stay-at-home orders through May 8 and are waiting to observe the first phase of reopenings. (RELATED: Trump: Ohio, North Dakota And Idaho To Begin Opening On May 1)
Gatherings of 10 or more people in public spaces and private commercial spaces will remain prohibited, but Colorado retail businesses can phase-in public openings beginning Friday if they follow the order and can maintain physical distancing between customers and employees.
If businesses can keep staffing levels below 50% at the building at once, businesses will be able to reopen next Monday, May 4. Restaurants will continue delivery and drive-through to serve food.
“Together, Coloradans have been effective in leveling and flattening the curve, but life will remain much more dangerous than usual these next few months and we should all wear masks when in public. Safer at Home is by no means a free-for-all,” Polis said in a statement according to the Denver Channel.
The safer at home order expires May 27 unless Polis extends it.
