UFC 249 has found a location in Florida.
UFC president Dana White has been doing everything in his power to make the return of sports happen, and put together an awesome card featuring Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje. According to a statement from the fighting league, UFC 249 will happen May 9 at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida. The UFC will also host events there May 13 and May 16.
As of right now, fans are banned.
Dana White vowed to be first sport back and UFC 249 is officially scheduled with Ferguson v Gaethje, May 9 at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Fla. No fans. Events also scheduled in Jax for May 13 and May 16.

Well, there we have it, folks. After the fights were shut down in March and UFC 249 failed to happen April 18, we finally have an answer for when it’ll occur.
It really isn’t that far away at all. Dana White promised to bring sports back, and that’s exactly what he’s done by bringing UFC 249 to April.
I honestly can’t wait to see how this all shakes out.

America desperately needs sports to return, and Dana White is answering the call. Why am I not surprised at all White stepped up to be our hero during the coronavirus pandemic? The dude just gets the job done.
Is it a shade disappointing UFC 249 won’t have fans? Yes, but I’ll take whatever I can get at this point.
