The LSU Heisman winner told Ian Rapoport that it’s his “goal” to start and that he’ll be “super confident” from “the first snap of training camp.”

The Bengals didn’t take Joe Burrow first overall to ride the bench. That much I can guarantee you for sure. That’s just a fact.
The Bengals took Burrow first overall to lead the team, win football games and become the starter as soon as possible.
Given how desperate the team is at quarterback, there’s a great chance he starts from day one in Cincy. I’d be surprised if he doesn’t.
Burrow is incredibly mature, he always elevates himself to the situation and he seems ready to cut it loose on the field with the Bengals. Again, it’d be pretty surprising if he wasn’t the starter at this point.

We’ll see what happens once Week 1 rolls around, but I think there’s a great chance Burrow opens the season by taking the first snap.
