Football might be in some serious trouble in the state of Oregon.

According to the Willamette Week, Democratic Oregon Gov. Kate Brown announced Thursday that fans will be banned at sporting events through at least September because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

When will they be allowed to return? It won’t be until there’s a vaccine or therapies! The move comes after the University of Oregon already committed to being open in the fall.

This is not good for the Oregon Ducks and other football teams in the state. If fans are banned for the first month of the season, then that’s really bad news for the PAC-12.

California already looks hellbent on not letting fans into sporting events anytime soon. Now, they won’t be at football games in Oregon until October at the earliest.

It might be time to start getting concerned if you’re a football fan in Oregon.

Obviously, I’m all for keeping people safe and minimizing risk during the coronavirus pandemic. Don’t think I’m not.

I’m just pointing out major football teams don’t want to play in empty stadiums and now they won’t have a choice in Oregon for at least a month.

Hopefully, the Ducks and every other football team has fans in attendance by October.
