College football teams might play the same teams multiple times during the 2020 season.

According to Brett McMurphy, teams “are having preliminary discussions w/their other conference members about possible home/home series this year, in case all of their league members can’t play” because of the coronavirus pandemic. While this would make everyone’s schedule substantially harder, I’m here for it. Inject this kind of energy right into my veins.

Shoot me up with home-and-home series between major powerhouse programs. Imagine if Auburn travels to Alabama and then they switch venues a couple weeks later.

Now do the same with Michigan/Ohio State, Ohio State/Wisconsin, LSU/Georgia, LSU/Alabama and any other rivalry you can think of.

Yes, teams would lose a lot more, but if we’re going to ride this wave of chaos, we might as well go all-in. Embrace the carnage and chaos!

Playing home-and-home series with conference teams would honestly be one of the coolest things we’ve ever seen in modern football.

Would it result in a lot of 8-4 and 7-5 seasons? Sure, but I’m okay with it. At this point, we might as well get real weird with it.
