Gaspard went missing three days earlier. A search immediately went underway for him and his 10-year-old son. Shad’s son was finally located, but he wasn’t.

“When last seen by the lifeguard, a wave had crashed over Mr. Shad Gaspard and he was swept out to sea,” the police department shared. “The boy was rescued.”

Search efforts were suspended Tuesday with officials stating that the case would remain open until he was found.

As previously reported, a video of Gaspard and his son at the beach days before he went missing recently surfaced. In the post, he talked about how blessed he felt about his life.

The former wrestler is probably best known for his time in the ring back when he made up one half of the team Cryme Tyme with professional wrestler JTG, also known as Jayson Anthony Paul or “The Neighborhoodie.”
