Some NBA teams might sit out the rest of the season.
Right now, the league is debating how to safely return during the coronavirus pandemic, and the most likely outcome appears to be playing games at Disney in Florida. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

However, not all teams might return to finish the season. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, there are talks about whether or not it’s worth it to bring back teams at the bottom of the league with no shot at the playoffs.

In all honesty, it doesn’t seem to make a ton of sense to bring back teams that have no shot at the postseason.
So, they’re supposed to spend several weeks in training camp, safely get to Florida, quarantine for several more weeks, play a handful of meaningless games and then go home?
Yeah, I’m not sure that adds up or makes a lot of sense at all.
The NBA needs to return, and it needs to return as fast as possible. Playing games in the fall with the NFL and college football is a recipe for disaster.
If not bringing back all the teams speeds things up, then that’s what should be done.

It seems like a decision is coming soon, and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if some teams end up not playing until next season. It wouldn’t be surprising at all.
