Auburn football coach Gus Malzahn attended a Sunday protest at Toomer’s Corner.

As I’ve said many times at this point, you should all get used to seeing this because it’s not going to stop anytime soon.
Not only is it not going to stop, but it shouldn’t stop. In a state like Alabama, Gus Malzahn is one of the most influential people and he has one of the largest platforms.
He might not be Nick Saban, but the Auburn Tigers still have a gigantic following.

Given how bad things in America have been since Floyd’s death, I’ll take any and all the help I can find. Malzahn leading his team can serve as a sign of unity.
It might also encourage others to speak up. If Malzahn is willing to publicly lead the way, then it clears a path for others to do the same.
We have a long road to recovery ahead of us, and it’s important to remember we’re all in this together.
