A 13-year-old Pennsylvania teen has reportedly been charged as an adult this past Wednesday for the murder of his 9-year-old younger brother with their father’s handgun.

Pennsylvania State Trooper Erica Polcha filed an arrest affidavit which said that police responded to a 6 a.m. call from the shooter, Brayden L. Wright, claiming that the victim had suffered a fall according to The Patriot-News. The police reportedly found the victim bleeding from his head and in cardiac arrest. He later died in Waynesboro hospital, the Waynesboro Record-Herald reported

The affidavit also states that Brayden said the dispute occurred over a game of cops and robbers and that “he did this because the victim was not complying his commands,” reported The Patriot-News. Brayden said that he was “angry with the victim for not listening to him.” (RELATED: Report: 96-Year-Old Chicago Woman Stabbed To Death With A Pitchfork)

The teenager claimed that he then grabbed a loaded 9mm handgun from a couch, shot his brother on the left side of the head, and placed the gun back in the couch after the murder, according to the Waynesboro Record-Herald.

The father Matthew Snyder told Polcha that he kept the weapons loaded, “for home protection,” according to The Patriot-News.

The family has started a GoFundMe page which says, “Yesterday forever changed all our lives. We not only lost a 9 yr old precious little boy, but we could potentially loose [sic] his 13yr old brother.” The statement also says that the shooter, “is still just a child also.” The fundraiser has accumulated almost $10,000.

Brayden has been held without bail according to court documents, reported WITI-Milwaukee.
