This is a great move by the Vikings. Zimmer is one of the most underrated coaches in the NFL, and he’s done a great job with the Vikings.
Through six seasons as the head coach in Minnesota, Zimmer has compiled a record of 57-38, which is very respectable.
On top of the impressive record, Zimmer has won double digit games with the Vikings in three of his six seasons.
When you find a coach you can bring you that kind of consistency, it’s a smart idea to lock him up, and that’s exactly what the Vikings are doing.
While we don’t know the financial details just yet, I have no doubt Zimmer is about to get himself a bag of money.
