Actor Matthew McConaughey announced the release of his new memoir “Greenlights” on his Instagram.

The announcement was made by the legendary actor Wednesday.

“So, check this out,” McConaughey started. “Ever since I learned to write, I’ve been keeping a journal. Writing down anything that turned me on, turned me off, made me laugh, made me cry, made me question, or kept me up at night.”

“Two years ago, I worked up the courage to take all of those journals into solitary confinement just to see what the h*ll I had and I returned with a book, yes,” he said. ” This is my sights and scenes, my nices and means, successes and failures, stories, people, places, poems, prayers, prescribes and a whole lot of bumper stickers.”

“It’s called ‘Greenlights’ because it’s a story about how I have and we all can catch more of them in this life we’re living,” McConaughey explained. “See, we don’t like the red and yellow lights because they take up our time, right? But when we realize that they all eventually turn green, that’s when they reveal their rhyme. That’s when life’s a poem.”

Of course this isn’t a typical memoir. Nothing produced or made by McConaughey is ever typical. He is better than the best. I can’t wait for it to come out. There is no doubt in my mind that whatever McConaughey produced is going to be one of the best things I read in 2020.

“Greenlights” better not disappoint.
