College football powerhouses are reportedly considering playing their own championship if it’s necessary.

According to Sports Illustrated, the P5 conferences are looking at setting up their own title events if the NCAA decides to pull the plug on fall championships during the coronavirus pandemic. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

The NCAA is expected to decide the fate of fall championships other than football Tuesday. A decision on football would happen sometime after that.

I honestly couldn’t care less about any fall sport other than football. Let me be crystal clear on this so that there’s no confusion.

If the NCAA wants to cancel all fall championships other than football during the coronavirus pandemic, then go for it.

You won’t hear me complain at all.

If a decision eventually comes down from the NCAA that the football playoff won’t be allowed, much like March Madness, then the P5 conferences should flip the NCAA the bird and move forward on their own.

Imagine how awesome the chaos would be if Alabama just got on the phone with Ohio State at the end of the season and set up a title game.

If it was the only game going on in America and it was on PPV, how many people do you think would watch? There would be millions of sales.

It would rake in the cash.

If the NCAA won’t let title events happen, then the P5 schools have to go in on their own to get the job done. The NCAA already took away March Madness.

We can’t allow football to be ruined as well.
