The Rutgers Scarlet Knights will have some new football uniforms during the 2020 season.

The team’s official Twitter account tweeted a video Monday announcing the new uniforms, and they appear to have an old school look. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

You can watch the video below.

You know what Rutgers and Greg Schiano should do before worrying about their uniforms? Try winning some football games. Win some games, and then worry about your uniforms.

The last time the Scarlet Knights were above .500 was back in 2014. Yes, it was more than half a decade ago. Rutgers has a grand total of nine wins over the past four seasons.

You know what doesn’t put the ball in the end zone? Your uniform. That doesn’t impact the game in any way.

Good for Rutgers for trying to inject some energy, but I can promise you that nobody who takes football seriously gives a damn about uniforms when your team sucks.

That’s just a fact. If you’re balling out, then mess with your uniforms all you want. Until you’re doing that, then uniforms should be the last of your concerns.
