The preseason Coaches Poll was released Thursday, and Clemson was sitting at the top.

Clemson was number one in the preseason poll, and the Ohio State Buckeyes followed at number two. Alabama, Georgia and LSU rounded out the top five. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Wisconsin checked in at number 12.

Do I hate the initial rankings from the Coaches Poll? No. I can live with them. The top two teams have to be Clemson and Ohio State.

If you pick any other team to be in the top two spots, then you don’t know what you’re talking about.

Now, we can debate until the end of the day the order OSU and the Tigers should be in, but they’re absolutely the two best teams on paper.

They both have elite coaches, NFL quarterbacks and pro talent all over the field. Any other team in the top two spots to start the year would be foolish.

As for Wisconsin checking in at number 12, that’s a bit low for my taste. I think everyone agrees we’re a top 10 team.

Anyone who argues we’re not, I’m curious to hear their case. The Badgers have a loaded defense, a great receiving corps, our QB room is stacked and we always reload at running back.

We’re coming for it all in 2020.
