MSNBC host Joe Scarborough repeatedly told President Donald Trump to watch Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” Thursday  and not Scarborough’s own show, “Morning Joe,” after Trump tweeted his disapproval of the show.

“Donald, for the sake of America, for the sake of America, for the sake of your mental health, please stop watching ‘Morning Joe.’ He’s watching again this morning, tweeting about us, insulting Mika and her mental health.”

Co-host Mika Brzezinski interjected, “You’re Psycho Joe.” (RELATED: Joe Scarborough: Trump Supporters Are ‘Not Conservatives, They’re Idiots’ For Opposing State Lockdowns)

Scarborough has previously questioned Tump’s mental health and in April said the president was in “cognitive decline” and “complete meltdown mode.” He also wondered if there was any point in having the 25th Amendment to the Constitution, which allows for the removal of a president if he is physically or psychologically unfit to discharge his duties, if it is not used against Trump.

Scarborough also told the president that when he denigrates the show’s ratings, the numbers always go up.

“I want to thank you for this, Donald. Every time you insult our ratings, which again, we don’t do this for the ratings, I don’t really care. I really don’t,” he said, adding the show’s team works tirelessly. “Because of their hard work … our ratings, Donald, have been better than ever this year and we just want to thank you. We really want to thank you for drawing attention to the ratings.”

“Please, please stop watching our show, okay? You got to stop because we gave you a lot of good advice back in March, you didn’t follow any of it,” Scarborough said again. (RELATED: Senior MSNBC Reporter Suggests Tanning Bed May Have Contributed To Trump’s ‘Irrational Rants’)

Trump tweeted Thursday morning that “Morning Joe” was getting “Very poor morning TV ratings” and that the show is “headed by a complete Psycho named Joe Scarborough and his ditzy airhead wife, Mika … ” The president congratulated “Fox & Friends” for “dominating the mornings.”

As he prepared to sign-off from  “Morning Joe,” Scarborough let loose on Trump for opposing mail-in voting when “Republicans do better with absentee voting and Republicans do better with mail-in voting historically than do — than do Democrats.

Scarborough claimed that “just about every Republican knows that but Donald Trump,” and that Trump was unaware because “he’s not really a Republican. He’s never been a Republican.”

The host also said Trump isn’t a conservative either and “never will be.”

“Thanks for watching us this morning. Mr. President. Please watch ‘Fox & Friends.’ It’s in your best interest and in the best interest of America.”
