Musician Cher’s attempt to volunteer for the United States Postal Service (USPS) was unsuccessful.

Cher documented her journey to find out how to volunteer for USPS on her Twitter account Wednesday.

“Can ppl volunteer at post office,” she first asked her 3.8 million followers.

“NO,IM NO [sic] KIDDING…COULD I VOLUNTEER AT MY POST OFFICE,” she reiterated later. (RELATED: Cher Reverses Course On Mass Immigration: ‘If My State Can’t Take Care Of It’s Own, How Can It Take Care Of More?’

“IS NO ONE GOING TO HELP ME WITH POST OFFICE,” she added with an eye-rolling emoji.

“OK,Called 2 post offices In Malibu,” Cher tweeted. “They were polite. I Said ‘Hi This Is Cher,& I Would like to know If you ever take Volunteers Lady Said She Didn’t Know & Gave Me # Of Supervisor. I Called & Said Hi This is Cher Do U Accept volunteers. ‘NO,Need Fingerprints & Background Check.'”

I appreciate Cher’s hard work to find out if you can volunteer with USPS. Seems like you can, but you have to submit a fingerprint and background check before you actually can do any work with the service, according to Cher. The USPS is a pretty important service, so it makes sense that not anyone can just help out there.

I wonder if Cher is going to continue on her journey to help the USPS or if this is the end for her effort to volunteer?
