Former Trump fixer Michael Cohen will appear in ads running during the Republican National Convention this week for American Bridge, a Democratic political committee supporting Joe Biden.

“I’m here to tell you, he can’t be trusted, and you can’t believe a word he utters,” Cohen says of his former boss in the 90-second ad, which American Bridge released on Monday.

Cohen seemingly filmed the ad while serving out his federal prison sentence under house arrest.

A federal judge sentenced Cohen to 36 months in prison on Dec. 12, 2018 with charges of tax evasion, money laundering, lying to Congress, and making an illegal campaign contribution to the Trump campaign.

Cohen pleaded guilty to all of the charges. He admitted to paying $130,000 out of his own pocket as hush money to Stormy Daniels, a porn star who threatened to go public in October 2016 about an affair she had with Trump a decade earlier. “I was complicit in helping conceal the real Donald Trump,” Cohen says in the ad.

American Bridge, which was founded by longtime Clinton crony David Brock, did not respond to a request for comment on whether Cohen is being paid for appearing in the TV spot.

Earlier this month, Cohen’s attorneys submitted a court filing saying that a political action committee had offered Cohen a job. Cohen has to obtain court approval for any job he takes while he serving out his prison sentence on furlough.

Cohen is also set to publish a tell-all next month about his years working for Trump.

According to CNN, American Bridge will begin running the Cohen ad on television on Wednesday during the Republican National Convention.
