Rice has postponed two 2020 football games.
According to Brett McMurphy, the Owls have postponed their October 3 game against Marshall and their October 10 game against UAB. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)
The decision to postpone the two games comes after Rice decided to push back practice to late September during the coronavirus pandemic.
RIce has postponed games at Marshall (Oct. 3) & vs. UAB (Oct. 10), sources told @Stadium. It will be determined at later date when/if games rescheduled. 1st game for Rice, which won’t start practicing til late September, is now Oct. 24 vs. Middle Tennessee

Is an FBS program postponing two games a good sign of things to come during the 2020 football season? The answer is an obvious no.
The last thing anyone wants to see are games getting postponed as we push forward through September.

Having said that, the entire schedule during the 2020 slate has been set up to accommodate changes. Everyone knew there’d be bumps on the road as we traveled the football season during the coronavirus pandemic.
Plus, there’s a big difference between a team like Rice and an SEC program. As long as all the major programs are fine, fans will be happy.

Let’s hope Rice bounces back quickly and is able to reschedule their games. Either way, there’s no reason to panic at all.
